Privacy statement

Who is responsible

GKS Digital is a sole trader owned by Giliam Smale, at Ridder Fulcolaan 46, 3953 BW Maarsbergen, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 89805313. GKS Digital is the controller for the personal data described here. Questions? Mail info@gksdigital.nl.

What data, and why

If you get in touch through the contact form, by email or over WhatsApp, I process what you share yourself: your name, company name, line of work, email address, your phone number if you give it, and the content of your message.

When you send the contact form, those details go through this website's server straight to my mailbox as an email. The website doesn't keep them in a database; they only exist in my email.

To stop bots abusing the form I use Cloudflare Turnstile. That check sets no cookies and doesn't track you across websites; it only looks at whether the request comes from a person.

I use these details only to answer your question, to prepare a quote and, if you become a client, to carry out the work. The legal basis is that you asked for contact or a quote yourself, or the performance of our agreement.

Visiting this website

This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or tracking software. Fonts are loaded from this website itself, not from an external service. To serve and protect the site, the hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address. That happens for that purpose only.

How long I keep data

• If your message doesn't lead to work, I delete your details no later than six months after our last contact.
• If you become a client, I keep the details that belong to my administration for seven years, because the law requires it.

Who I share data with

I never sell your data. For hosting and security I use Cloudflare, for sending form messages Resend, and for my mailbox Google Workspace. They process data only on my instructions. Some of them may process data outside the European Union; that happens only with appropriate safeguards, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. If you contact me over WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own terms apply as well.

Your rights

You have the right to see your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict processing, to object, and to have your data transferred. Mail info@gksdigital.nl and you'll have an answer within a month.

If you're unhappy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

This statement may be adjusted when the website or the way I work changes. The date at the top shows when that last happened.
